Competition-based learning develops problem-solving skills and helps students gain a greater and deeper understanding of scientific and mathematical principles in an applied manner. The competitive elements of some competition-based learning activities also provide an important additional dimension to innovative learning. Within the correct context, competition engages and motivates students and drives innovation, a vital requirement for any engineer or product designer. So the Open Theme competition is an attempt or research to apply the brilliant ideas of Nepalese students in an innovative way of building projects other than the themes mentioned above.

Point System


The jury team will decide the exact marking scheme but the marking scheme is based on the following theme.

Jury team The VECTOR organizing committee will collaborate with the executive committee of the Free Students Union and Paschimanchal Campus to finalize the jury team. The decision made by jury team will be fair and unguided. In case of the result of the competition the decision made by the jury team will be a final decision.

Team Specification


A team may consist of a maximum of ​ 5 members. There is no restriction for participation. Students from any part of the nation can form their teams with anyone. Students from any field can participate. Eligibility Any individual who is keen to share his/her ideas is open to participate. Anyone who wants to take part must fill up a Registration Form and pay an amount of Rs 500.

Rewards and Certification


A cash prize of Rs 50,000 along with certificates will be provided to the winning team. Every participating team will be given a Certificate of Participation.
